Watch the new build “Humboldt Freedom” from beginning till the end.
Simple idea, make a 70's style trike chopper
My attempt at the "Knucklehead" engine. Good enough for me just add more stuff.
Brass springs were supposed to go up higher on forks but just looked cool as hell where they are. So there you are!
Next up tear drop copper tank and time to start thinking about the drive system.
Give yourself plenty of extra work space, especially if the pieces are extra small. Trust me.
"Humboldt Freedom" gas tank taking shape. Do all your preliminary artwork first, then hit the anneal torch a bit.
Beating the heck outta the copper makes for stronger stuff, curved even better. Brazed from inside.
Tank mock up, rough saddle seat area and beginning of belt drive system. Humboldt Belt Co. supplied all custom belts.
First of the pulley drive system to include jack shaft
Round about way of getting you to go forward but a triple belt system seems to work best in these Humboldt conditions.
