This show commemorates 365 kayak runs in this ‘yak, a full years worth which took six years to achieve. Very cool.
Bought this Hobie Revolution 11 Mirage drive kayak in 2012. Some six years later I logged over 365 runs in and around Humboldt Bay. A full years worth documenting what we see on our outings. Amazing Humboldt never ceases to amaze.
The journey begins with a quick dip of the boat.
We live in a place where the birds come and go, sometimes surprising us that their back so soon.
After I reached my goal of 365 logged runs I purchased my second kayak, another Hobie but this time an orange Outback. She goes by the name of Osprey 1.
I thought after my Coast Guard days my time of saving people were over, guess not!
Kayaking south Humboldt Bay you’d better pay attention to the wind and tides or you may be there awhile. Got water & snacks?

Yellow Yaker in all her glorious glory! Still runs like a champ and steers way better than my new Outback.
