Read More60 years is a long time to be open especially in the art world. For this Arts Alive showing I'll have Cowboy Roy on display . He's big, all copper and will take all the pictures you can handle. Stop in and see the show, it'll be a barn burner. ARTS ALIVE - Saturday, February 6, 6-9pm.
New change to my studio layout, not being a webhead expert I do the best I can to make my work accessible worldwide to everyone who wants to enjoy my art. You see new very brightly colored headers, these are pictures taken from my studio work table I've been hauling around for the last 20 year's. Lots of art projects in 20yrs, small paint jobs here and there & what to do with all the extra paint? This is the answer, still till this day. Love the one with my name on it, my daughter Tara wrote it there when she was something like 11, said people needed to know who it belonged to or something. Paintings mean nothing other than a time and place, then over again in yet another time and place, it just happens. Capture the Art in the Moment.
Sharky the HammerHead & Shark Narly-ah are swmming in McKinleyville, CA at the 6 Rivers Brewery. Stop in and wet your whistle, do a little gawking, yes their real you can see them right?
Great show today for the first ever "Humboldt Made Pop-Up Show" and yes it was a great success! Big thanks to all involved who put this event together, it was easy, stress free and you guys were the best! Not only did you stop by and ask how things were but you stopped in at various times, very much appreciated. The food, mimosas & beer went together seamlessly. Nice job.
I didn't know Curtis Otto all that well but I did know him well enough to be art pals even in the little time I knew him. Always stopped and talked art at whatever shows he may of been doing and talked about doing an art for art trade. Yes he was very interested but didn't transpire until one day after taking down a show and driving home on E street did I stop at Otto's house. Can't help but miss it, paintings everywhere outside the front of house, garage doors wide open. So I stopped and got his attention and said come check out this. Showed him two bins full of sculptures in the back of my truck, he said "bring em in". So we did, he picked through a bunch and found two he liked and set aside. Now for me to try and decide on a painting. If you've never been inside his house it was completely full of paintings, paintings EVERYWHERE! I knew he had good stuff stashed in the garage and asked if we could check that out, so we did. That's where I found this painting and asked how much, he said he didn't want to sell, maybe something to the effect it wasn't done. So we brought it back in the house and put with all the others. He kept raising the price where I had to say hey wait a minute, so in the end he ended up with the two copper sculptures I had made & I ended up with this kick ass painting. He said to me he liked to "time stamp" stuff, obviously so in alot of his paintings and that's what he said he liked about my stuff, a time in space & place. Rock on my artist friend. Paint that wild ass painting wherever you maybe.

Redwood Art Association's block party was a monsterous success. We took out my monster masks and ran around Old Town Eureka having fun, scaring up some kids and yes a couple dogs too. Big thanks to Topher, Matt, Jess, Pat & Craig for helping in the fun.
Yesterday we hung the "Scary Show" for this months arts festival of events. Stop in now or for Arts Alive Nov 7, 2015
Today the "Destination Humboldt" show comes down at the Redwood Art Association. Next up? The "Scary Show" for November Arts Alive! Make sure you carve out some spooky good time.
I'm not sticking my hands into this guys mouth, this seems to be the only safe way to get that pesky flossing out of the way
Read MoreTo date two pieces have new temporary homes for the next six months. While dropping off "Mayday Bill" today I was nicely surprised to receive an art piece from friends as well. Now I get to admire a great piece of work too, thanks guys!
Starting Sep 24, 2015 I implemented what I call the "Art Loan Program". Lend out some of my art to people I know. Think of it as an art library, 'cept "you" get to hang with the piece till its time to return home, probably six months. In doing this it gets more local art out and about & maybe, just maybe someone else will bite off and lend their art out as well.
Great time this last weekend & was my first as a vendor for North Country Fair, it was a blast, thanks to all who stopped by for awhile. See you all next year!
Wow, VERY busy day today big thanks to everyone who stopped by and hung out awhile, fun times, booth was packed, guess it's standing room only! See all your smiling faces bright & early tomorrow

Read MoreHowdy all, pretty sure if you've been following my art movement things have changed a bit. Last night I launched my new updated version of what a website should be. HUGE thanks to my buddy Joe Lance who not only pushed me to make this happen but stepped up and made sure all the backside stuff no one sees happens, Thank you Joe. I'm open for Biz! Let the good times roll
Today I installed quite abit of art, some from my own private collection and sad to say some are a NFS, not for sale. Gotta keep a few good ones for myself ya? Other than the few that are not for sale pretty much everything else is or can be done up as a special order. Big thanks to all at US Bank.
What a great time to spend outdoors, once we had our booth setup we were good to go. Nine hours went by like 45mins. Once Arts Alive kicked in around 6pm open the flood gates. This was probably one of the funnest shows I've participated in, just wish it was more profitable. Big hugs to everyone who stopped by!
